For authors

How do I submit a manuscript?

Submissions are made to a specific journal through its online system. Choose the right journal from the directory, review its aims & scope and author guidelines, and submit there. See Publish with Horizon.

Do you charge publication fees?

Our journals do not currently charge article processing charges (APCs) — there is no cost to submit or publish. See Open Access.

Who holds the copyright to my article?

Authors retain copyright. Articles are published under a Creative Commons licence that allows reuse with attribution. See Open Access.

What are your ethics standards?

We uphold COPE-aligned publication ethics across all journals.

How can I become a reviewer?

What type of peer review do you use?

Each journal states its own model; the Horizon Journal of Psychology uses double-anonymous peer review for eligible research articles.

Access and reuse

Is the research free to read?

Yes. All our journals are fully open access — free to read, download and share immediately on publication.
